"Dr Adrian Enthoven is Executive Chairman of Yellowwoods, a European based private investment group. He is responsible for Yellowwoods’ financial services, hospitality and wine interests. He serves on the boards of the Group’s South African based investments, including Hollard (Chairman), Clientele, Lombard, Direct Axis, &Beyond (Co-Chairman) and Spier.

"He is deeply involved in various projects and initiatives in the areas of youth employment, education, citizen activism, social justice and the arts. He is a Fellow of the African Leadership Initiative (ALI) and a signatory of the Citizens Charter.

"Prior to his career in business, he was involved in the social sector. This began at school with his participation in the Dakar Talks in 1987. At university he had various part time roles, including as a journalist at the Vrye Weekblad. He spent four years facilitating local level negotiations in Johannesburg (at the Metropolitan Chamber working for Van Zyl Slabbert), and a year working for the Department of Constitutional Development on the first local government elections in 1995.

"He was educated at Michaelhouse School and at Oxford University (BA Hons in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, and PhD in Political Science). His doctorate was an analysis of the democratisation of the local state in South Africa. He is married with four children and lives in Johannesburg." [1]
