Brian Anderson, chair of Shell Nigeria between 1994 and 1997.

"Brian Anderson is an active retiree. He is currently Chairman and Managing Director of Anderson Energy (Hong Kong) Limited, a consulting firm for the energy sector, mostly in Africa and China. He is also the Chairman and a Director of CleanCoalGas Ltd, a Director of Acura Limited, and a non-executive director on the board of the Kaisun Energy Group, all based in Hong Kong.

Brian retired after a 34-year career largely with the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies. After an initial career in mining in Nigeria, he held a number of positions in the oil and gas industry, including in Nigeria, where he was born and raised. In Nigeria, he was MD of The Shell Petroleum Development Company, and country Chairman. He worked for Shell International in Oman, the Netherlands, Norway, Malaysia and Australia. Just prior to retiring, Mr Anderson was Chairman of the Shell Companies in North East Asia, based in Beijing, responsible for the company's businesses in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Mongolia and Sakhalin. He has been on the Board of the Addax and Oryx Foundation since it became a registered organisation in 2007.

"Brian Anderson is a British citizen and a permanent resident of Hong Kong. He holds an MSc in Petroleum Reservoir Engineering from London University and is an Associate of the Camborne School of Metaliferous Mining in the U.K., where he trained as a mining engineer." [1]
