Christian Mumenthaler "is Head of Risk Management and Chief Risk Officer of the Swiss Re Group, a leading reinsuring company and expert in risk securitization solutions. In a landmark decision Swiss Re established a long-term partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to form the ICRC Corporate Support Group mandated with “strengthening and developing humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles”. Mr. Mumenthaler received a PhD from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich. Before joining Swiss Re in 1999, he was an Associate at the Boston Consulting Group. He is deeply committed to ensuring that business contributes to a sustainable future and good governance around the world.
