Cumulus Media

Cumulus Media is a radio chain that recently has organized pro-war rallies and banned the Dixie Chicks from its playlists, after Natalie Maines, lead singer for the Dixie Chicks, criticized President Bush for the preemptive war on Iraq.

A CD-smashing rally was organized by KRMD, part of Cumulus Media, where a Louisiana crowd gathered to watch a large tractor crush a collection of Dixie Chicks CD's, tapes and related merchandise. Similar pro-war rallies are being promoted by giants in the radio industry -- with close links to the current administration and related causes.
