Elizabeth Thompson (EDF)

"Elizabeth Thompson began her career as a policy advocate for the Clean Air Council of Pennsylvania. She then served as CATF’s first Government Affairs representative in DC, from 1996-1999. Subsequently, Elizabeth served for 18 years in various capacities at the Environmental Defense Fund, leading EDF’s efforts on the Climate Action Partnership and concluding her work as the President of Environmental Defense Action Fund. While at EDF she pioneered a collaborative approach to challenging policy programs in fisheries management, clean air, and climate.

"Currently, she provides analysis to institutions and individuals on advocacy, communications and political campaigns. She believes that effectively understanding and using qualitative and quantitative data can improve all aspects of advocacy. She also served as Senior Mediator and Program Director at the Meridian Institute, an organization determined to help combat climate change, as well as a host of other pressing social and environmental issues. Ms. Thompson received her law degree from Boston College, and her Master of Law degree in Taxation from New York University School of Law, and is pursuing her Masters of Science in Government Analytics at Johns Hopkins University."
