Farmers Bulletin 51: Standard varieties of chickens was a USDA Farmers' Bulletin, originally published in 1897 and revised in 1899. It was written by George E. Howard.[1] It was then revised by G. Arthur Bell in 1906 and published in 1907. The 1907 version is the one quoted here.
