Frank R. Jimenez

Frank R. Jimenez, of Florida, was nominated June 30, 2006, by President George W. Bush to be General Counsel of the Department of the Navy.

At the time of his nomination [1], Jimenez was serving as as Deputy General Counsel (Legal Counsel) at the Department of Defense. Prior to this, Jimenez was named by then HUD Secretary Mel Martinez as Chief of Staff at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. "Earlier in his career, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Acting General Counsel in Governor Jeb Bush's office."

"A graduate of the University of Miami, Jimenez received a bachelor's degree in biology. He received his law degree in 1991 from the Yale Law School. Prior to joining the Governor's office in Tallahassee, he was a commercial litigation partner in the Miami law firm of Steel Hector and Davis." [2]
