"Jennifer White has over thirteen years experience as a writer, researcher, counselor, speaker, consultant, and an educator and throughout her life has been dedicated to encouraging sustainable choices which coincide with both our inner purpose and the health of the planet. She is currently the Sustainability Coordinator and a Professor in the Environmental Studies Department at Colby-Sawyer College where she is guiding the college toward its goals of carbon neutrality and whole systems sustainability. She is the Founder of Root Systems Institute, which seeks to educate, empower, and inspire individuals and organizations to "initiate global change from the inside out," and she is also the Co-Founder and Director of Education for the Green Heart Institute, which developed programs that assist communities in reducing their collective environmental impact. Jennifer is an Advisor to the Board of Directors for Mountain Spirit Institute and she shares a simple life in New Hampshire with her partner Jimmy, where they also sing professionally as the acoustic duo "Sferes & White." Their multi-media "Eco-Tones" presentations are a fun and entertaining combination of music and education, which address issues such as sustainability, simplicity, community, interdependence, and the good life."
