At HMV she set up their operations in the USA, Australia and Japan and at Scholl she managed business development and IT in addition the Finance functions of this Plc. The Board appointment to Scholl caused her to be in the early 1990s the most senior business woman in Britain before choosing to take her work beyond the corporate world in 1997." [1]

She has a PhD in archaeology from the University of Reading titled "Walking between worlds : cosmology embodied in the landscape of Neolithic and Early Bronze Age Britain" (Department of Archaeology, 2004).
