Kalada Apiafi

"Kalada is a seasoned management consultant with over thirty years’ experience in Private and Public Sector Consulting. He is a certified trainer and trainer of trainers from reputable organizations within and outside the country, including the Centre for Management Development (CMD). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria and holds an M. B. A. from the University of Liverpool. He is an International Training Fellow of JCI Training, USA and a mentor to many. He is an expert in capacity building programmes and vast in training content development and delivery, and has spent many years facilitating entrepreneurial, leadership and personal development programmes. He has conducted training sessions in various parts of the world including Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Denmark, Gabon, Nigeria, Ghana, Tunisia, South Africa and India. He has successfully handled training sessions, workshops and retreats for international organizations, government agencies, corporate organizations, the oil and gas industry, the insurance industry, NGOs and the media. His facilitation expertise includes Negotiation Skills, Business Management, Performance Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Personal Effectiveness, Team Building, Change Management, Communication, Leadership Development, Creative Problem Solving, Leadership, Service Delivery and Strategic Business Planning. As a Consultant to USAID, he successfully facilitated a management training and staff team building retreat for the Office of the Deputy Executive Secretary Political Affairs, Defence and Security (DES - PADS), ECOWAS which took place in Nigeria and Ghana. He has worked with the following organizations in delivering training solutions: Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC), Brass LNG, International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG), various State Governments, Cable Mission TV Network (CMTV), Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), MTN Nigeria, Society for Family Health, USAID/ECOWAS, among others. He is currently the Lead Trainer for an NLNG sponsored Education Support Programme. He is presently the Managing Director of [[[Wider Perspectives]] Limited, a Management Consulting firm with head office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He is currently the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Fate Foundation Port Harcourt which is one of the leading entrepreneurship development NGOs in the country and is a life member of the Junior Chamber International (a worldwide Federation of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs). He also serves on the Board of Boff and Company Ltd (Insurance Brokers) and is the Chairman, Board of Governors, Brookstone School, Port Harcourt. Kalada Apiafi was a council member of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce. "
