Background on Plant

This project is mentioned on Table 13 of the 2015-2024 PT PLN long range supply plan, scheduled for 2018 and 2019.[1] The project comprises two units of 100 MW each. It is located in East Kalimantan near the Sangatta mines operated by Kaltim Prima Coal.[2]

In the 2017-2026 long-range plan, the project is rescheduled to 2026 and is described as an independent power project (IPP).[3] In the 2019-2028 long-range plan the project is rescheduled 2020/2021.[4]
