"Dr. Lloyd Corder is a marketing strategist and researcher who has completed over 1,000 full scale marketing research projects. He has consulted with ABB, Alcoa, Allegheny County Department of Human Services, American Iron & Steel Institute, Audubon Institute, Bayer, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Dunlop Tires, Duquesne University, Eat 'n Park restaurants, FedEx, GlaxoSmithKline, Greater Pittsburgh Convention and Visitors Bureau, Heinz, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, LG, MSA, National Aviary, Pizza Outlet, Point Park College, PPG Industries, Quaker State, Sprint, UPMC Health Plan, Vatican Museums, Viking Freight Systems, Wendy's, Western Union, WQED Pittsburgh, Xerox and many others. He is also an adjunct assistant professor of marketing at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University where he teaches marketing research, international marketing, marketing management and pricing. For the past 20 years, he has served on the adjunct communication faculty at the University of Pittsburgh and more recently at Pennsylvania State University and Chatham College. Prior to starting CorCom, Inc., Dr. Corder was vice president of marketing research and leadership communications, and a strategic marketing and communications counselor, for Ketchum Public Relations, one of the top-three world-wide public relations firm. From the firm's Pittsburgh office, he oversaw the Ketchum Market Research Center and the communication leadership training programs. Dr. Corder is an experienced researcher with a strong track record in designing and conducting image assessment, community perception, customer satisfaction, marketing, prospect, readership, new media communications and internal communications assessments. He pioneered the Snapshot Survey TM, a proprietary research tool that quickly and affordably gathers insight and feedback from target audiences. The technique is used for identifying perceptions, monitoring opinions and assessing the effectiveness of program tactics and strategies. The results from Dr. Corder's studies have been published in over 200 magazines and newspapers. In the same week, the results from three of his studies appeared in USAToday. He has written over 50 articles on various business, marketing and communications topics. Recently, he has won several industry and professional awards, including the industry's most prestigious awards, the Silver Anvil (six awards) and the Bronze Anvil (for the most innovative research project in 1999). Dearborn is publishing, The Snapshot Survey: Quick, Affordable Marketing Research for Every Organization which will be released in February 2006. In addition to his research duties, Dr. Corder has developed and delivered numerous training programs, including The Marketing Toolbox: High-Impact, Affordable, Easy-to-Use Strategies for Improving Your Business, Selling Change, Communication Skills for Leaders, Stop Bellyaching-It's Only a Presentation, Body Language You Need to Know and others. He is a frequent keynote, convention and motivational speaker. He has appeared on television and radio programs devoted to business. Dr. Corder joined Ketchum when it acquired the public relations firm of Mangus/Catanzano, where he was a principal and head of research and training. Before joining Mangus/Catanzano, he was Vice President of Marketing & Research for the Williamson/Launikonis Group, a management, leadership and sales training organization. He holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in communication from the University of Pittsburgh. His B.A. is from the University of Kansas. He is also an elected member of the council of Ben Avon, Pennsylvania and is a board member of the Heartwood Institute." [1]
