Biographical Information

"He has been Director of Eni since May 2002... He is currently General Director of Italian Heritage and Antiquities in the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. He is also Chairman of Confimprese, Chairman of Convention Bureau Italia SpA, Deputy Chairman of Sesto Immobiliare SpA and Director of Mondadori SpA. After graduating he joined Chase Manhattan Bank. In 1974 he was appointed manager of Saifi Finanziaria (Fiat Group) and from 1976 to 1991 he was a partner of Egon Zehnder.

"In this period he was appointed Director of Lancôme Italia and of companies belonging to the RCS Corriere della Sera Group and the Versace Group. From 1995 to 2007 he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of McDonald's Italia. He was also Chairman of Sambonet SpA and Kenwood Italia SpA, a founding partner of Eric Salmon & Partners and Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce." [1]
