Marshall Field "of Chicago, Illinois, is chairman of the Field Corporation, established in 1984. He currently serves as Chairman of WWF's National Council and was a WWF Director for 17 years between 1974 and 2002. He was chairman of the Board of Trustees of Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center until November 1998, and served two terms as chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Art Institute of Chicago. Chairman of the board of the Terra Foundation, he also is vice chairman of the board of Duke School of Environment and a board member of several conservation and civic organizations. He is a graduate of Harvard College, where he majored in fine arts." [1]

His wife serves on the International Advisory Committee of the Population Institute.
