Founded in 2004, Moms for America was created by Kimberly Fletcher. Describing its mission as "a national movement of mothers to reclaim our culture for truth, family, freedom and the Constitution," MFA has created a network of chapters nationwide to combat "woke indoctrination."

MFA claims to advocate for empowering moms, promoting liberty, and raising patriots. In pursuit of building its broad coalition, MFA says it wants to build a “culture of truth, family and freedom in our homes and communities.”[1]

According to InfluenceWatch, "Moms for America says that all staff, board members, and contractors must agree with certain core values and beliefs that include God-given rights, personal responsibility, that freedom is the foundation for a good society, the value of family, parental rights, and that freedom and rights are maintained through engaged citizens. The organization says its official color is lavender because that is the color the represents refinement, grace, and elegance and most commonly symbolizes love, devotion, and purity."[2]

Moms For America Action

Serving as the action arm of Moms for America, MFA Action describes its mission to "promotes public policy based on the freedom sustaining principles of Free Enterprise, Limited Government, Entrepreneurship, Individual Freedom, National Sovereignty, Traditional American Values, Strong National Defense and Constitutional Rule of Law." News and Controversies

Major Player in Voter Suppression and the January 6 Insurrection

In an early 2023 report from Truthout, it was discovered that Moms for America was a major recipient of dark money from groups who organized the January 6th "Stop the Steal" rallies. MFA helped staff these rallies, and even their President, Kimberly Flecher, spoke at one on January 5th. In the lead-up to the events, "Fletcher was part of a text thread with fellow rally organizers Ali Alexander, Nathan Martin and Ed Martin in which she told them she had secured permits for activities to answer then-President Donald Trump’s call to prevent the election from being certified. They also demonstrate that Moms for America Vice President Debbie Kraulidis helped coordinate accommodations for the January 5 “Stop the Steal” event attendees and Moms for America provided a VIP list for the January 6 event at the White House Ellipse, where Trump spoke and urged the crowd to go to the Capitol and 'fight like hell.'" The report also outlined several other operatives' involvement in the riots, with many of their upper-level staff participating in the event. [4]

Southern Poverty Law Center Identifies MFA as a hate group

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, in an article published in early 2023, MFA "use their causes to intimidate and harass teachers and push legislation to whitewash history." Their annual report features "more than 1,200 hate and antigovernment extremist groups, including 13 new additions that are mainly conservative parents' rights groups."[5]

State of the Union Event

In January 2022, MFA held a corresponding State of the Union event in which they claimed there is a current crisis in areas such as "education, drugs and crime." The group had dozens of speeches from moms and even included one dad to advocate for "commonsense solutions." Kimberly Fletcher, the group’s president, stated at the rally, “We are the hope of America...We are rising up to unite with you across this country, to stand up and say the state of the union may be in peril, but the moms have just stepped in to get it back in shape.” The group's main target for the event was critical-race theory in education. Hitler Quotes at Rally

In January 2021, at an MFA rally called "Savee the Republic," Representative Mary Miller was quoted as saying, "Hitler was right on one thing....'whoever has the youth has the future.' Our children are being propagandized. This is the battle."[7]
