Nancy A. Aossey "is President and CEO of International Medical Corps (IMC), a global relief and development organization. She has headed IMC since 1986, shortly after its inception in 1984. She has served as Chairman of the Board of InterAction and now serves on its Executive Committee, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations; a Commissioner for the Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children, a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy, and a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO).

"As chief spokesperson for IMC, Ms. Aossey has briefed the President, Vice President and First Lady on various humanitarian issues and has testified before the U.S. Congress. She works closely with international agencies like USAID; the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA); the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration; the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF); the British Department for International Development (DFID); the Canadian High Commission; the European Union (EU); the World Food Program (WFP); the World Health Organization (WHO); the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA); the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR); and more. Ms. Aossey is the recipient of YPO's Global Humanitarian Award in 2003. She was also honored by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of L.A.'s "Woman Who Make a Difference" in 2000, and she was named one of the country's most outstanding young working women by Glamour Magazine in 1989."
