Peter Manning (Marston)

"Peter was appointed Chairman of Marston Group in June 2012 at the time of the management buyout. He brings extensive experience in public and private companies specialising in public sector outsourcing and telecoms, media and technology focusing in particular on the Home Office, Ministry of Justice and Local Authorities.

"Prior to his Marston Group appointment, Peter was Chairman of Reliance Secure Task Management supplying outsourced services to 15 UK police forces, UK Border Authorities, and the Ministry of Justice. Peter’s most recent executive position was as the CEO of HBS Ltd, a supplier of business process outsourcing to UK local authorities. The business became the strategic partner for IBM and SAP in the public sector outsourcing market and delivered a number of flagship Public Private Partnerships, including those with Lincolnshire, Milton Keynes and Middlesbrough.

"Before HBS Peter was President and Chief Executive of pan-European telecom operator COLT Telecom Plc, a FTSE 250 company with revenues in excess of £1 billion. Prior to Colt, Peter was the President and CEO of Concert Communications Inc based in Reston Virginia. His earlier career was spent with BT where he held a number of senior positions within BT’s organisations in Europe and the USA."[1]

Peter’s most recent executive position was as the Chief Executive Officer of HBS Ltd, a supplier of business process outsourcing to UK local authorities in which Terra Firma was an investor.
