Biographical Information
"The chair of the Interim Leadership Group for Healthwatch, Leicester is Philip Parkinson.
"Philip came to Leicester in 1964 and after a few years in industry retrained and became the Youth & Community Worker for Highfields. He joined" VISTA Leicester "the local charity for blind and visually impaired people as Chief Executive in 1973 in which he served for 28 years. Throughout this time and until 2006 he was City Magaistrate.
"He served as Chair of first Eastern Leicester and then Leicester City Primary Care Trusts during the 2000’s and the Leicester Strategic Partnership from 2007-2010. Philip has had a strong commitment to partnership working."[1]
