The Civil Liberties Portal (U.S.) contains articles collaboratively built by citizen journalists and professional researchers on the current state of civil liberties in the United States; changes made to them by the courts, Congress and the executive branch; and other issues.

Civil liberties here are defined as regarding the guarantees of freedom of speech, press, or religion; to due process of law; and to other limitations on the power of the state to restrain or dictate the actions of individuals.
