Rhonda E. Fawcett worked for the tobacco industry law firm of Shook, Hardy & Bacon.(PMI's Introduction to Privilege Log and Glossary of Names, Estate of Burl Butler v. PMI, et al, April 19, 1996) Fawcett was an attorney for Philip Morris (Shook Hardy) circa 1983.

Biography

Ms. Fawcett talked with Victor DeNoble about his studies circa March 1983 and also helped defend Cipollone.(V. DeNoble 5/26/94) She worked as an attorney for Shook, Hardy & Bacon. Unknown to Victor DeNoble, the Cipollone suit was filed in January 1983. Two months later, in March 1983, several Philip Morris lawyers (both in-house lawyers and lawyers from the Shook Hardy firm) descended on DeNoble's lab. DeNoble remembers about three lawyers from Shook Hardy, including Rhonda Fawcett and possibly Stephen Parrish (Philip Morris' general counsel circa 1994). He also remembers Philip Morris' in-house attorney Fred Newman.(V. DeNoble 5/26/94) The attorneys apparently reviewed all of DeNoble's documents. It is unclear whether Philip Morris ever produced DeNoble's documents during discovery in the Cipollone case.(V. DeNoble 5/26/94)
