"Domtar Inc. is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement to acquire Ris Paper Company, Inc. The transaction is expected to close by the end of July 2000 and is subject to regulatory approval.
"Ris is one of the largest independent merchants of commercial printing and business papers in the United States. Its head office is in Florence, Kentucky. With its 680 employees, Ris operates 19 distribution branches in some of the most active printer markets in the U.S. Ris sales were approximately US$600 million in 1999." [1]
