Biographical Information

"Rob joined the Community Foundation as Chief Executive in July 2009. He was previously Acting Chief Executive and, prior to that, Director of Policy and Communications at Northern Rock Foundation.

"Rob began his career working with homeless and vulnerable people. He went on to a development role with a council for voluntary service working on the sector’s engagement in urban regeneration. He then spent three years as a policy and strategy officer with Newcastle City Council working on voluntary sector policy, grant aid, community engagement and equalities.

"Rob has been a trustee of several national, regional and local charities. He is currently a trustee of the UK’s Community Foundation Network. He is also a trustee of Millfield House Foundation, a policy-focused trust in North East England, and a board member of Live Theatre in Newcastle upon Tyne, and he sits on the advisory group for the national ESRC Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy."[1]
