Biographical Information

"Samia is currently the Senior Development Education Coordinator for Islamic Relief, where she responsible for strategically leading and managing activity in the London region. She was born and raised in London and holds a Bsc (Hons) Management and Systems Science and a Masters in Islamic Studies. Her work involves raising awareness on poverty and related issues through presentations, producing written materials and advocacy. She has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors for Jubilee Debt Campaign and also sits on the advisory board as a consultant to One World Week. She has 5 years teaching experience in an independent primary school and has brought this to fruition through working closely with schools and offering Islamic perspectives on development issues, as well as offering life skills mentoring to primary and secondary school children. Samia is also a trustee of Utrujj Foundation – a leading contemporary Islamic Educational Institute."[1]
