I have removed this, it is incorrect and unsupported:

Water routinely given to U.S. pigs is liquid wastes draining from manure pits.

Do not replace this statement until it can be supported, and do not empty this comment from the discussion page, it shows very bad manners.

2nd WARNING...DO NOT empty this page, if you want to replace this comment that is incorrect and unsupported show here EXACTLY where this information comes from.

Edit note

The statement originally preceded this reference, along with the rest of the text. I will therefore reinstate this referenced text.

Due to dust, irritating fumes, toxic gases and bacteria build up in over crowded warehouses, most factory farmed pigs have respiratory distress (which also effects workers). Seventy to 80 % of U.S. pigs have pneumonia at the time of slaughter. Water routinely given to U.S. pigs is liquid wastes draining from manure pits. [1]
