Talk:Compliance techniques

This is probably the way Wiki writing works, but again I have deleted the sub-heads added today by Reddi. Why? The subheads don't add anything to the subject matter. While Internet design guides might encourage short blocks of text under headings, design should not push content in any media. In this case the subhead "campaigns" is nothing but an irrelevant word extracted from the paragraph. The paragraph discusses campaigns, but it is not about campaigns. It is about what advertisers do. Since advertisers usually by more than one ad, we need to refer to "campaigns" to identify the groups of advertisements, but we don't need to direct more attention to "campaigns" - the topic is compliance techniques in advertising, not "Campaigns".

I have readded the sub-heads removed by the anon. Why? The subheads help emphasis the subject matter. Switched subhead "campaigns" to "advertisers" as anon suggested (though I think I know who it is, it's be nice if he'd sign the post)... The paragraph discusses Advertising campaigns (what the prgh is about; thought that would be picked up ... mabey not) ... Reddi

The sub heads dominate the copy, but add nothing. It is a distraction, as has been most of the marginally intelligable copy contributed by the same editor, and as are the very unqualified edits that require a concerned edit to review each change and consider whether it would be tactful to delete. After a few days of this game, the delete key is an easier answer. Don't expect me to soon tire of defending my contributions.

A one-word head is of little use in any copy and few editors, even qualifed and experienced editors, are able to select one-word heads that illuminate the copy it attempts to describe. The graph once and now formally titled "Advertisers" is not about advertisers - it is about three specific approaches to advertising. Anon is using deleting these busy body edits anonymously in part because anon has no confidence in the identity established on this wiki who is doing these edits and the busy-body editor has apparently contributed no substantive articles based on real information, but instead bases their disinfo activities entirely on making arbitrary changes that serve no apparent purpose.
