Note re Occam's deletion of material in this article

I have hit undo to revert the changes made by user Occam to this article. Occam deleted material critical of Daniel Mahony and replaced it with material about a Daniel Mahony, so different that it may not be the same person.

Here is a copy of the material that has been reverted, pending verification that it applies to the same person who is the subject of this article:

Daniel F. Mahony is dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Services at Kent State University.

He joined Kent State University in July, 2008 from the University of Louisville. At the University of Louisville, Mahony served in numerous capacities, including program director, department chair, associate dean, assistant provost and associate provost. In these roles, he had a variety of responsibilities including strategic planning, student learning assessment, program review, budget management and accreditation.

He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting (High Honors) from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, a master's degree in sport management from West Virginia University and a doctorate in sport management from The Ohio State University.

He is an active researcher and has published over 50 articles in various refereed journals and became a NASSM Research Fellow in 2003. He won the 2007 Earle F. Zeigler Award from the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) for his career contributions as a researcher.
