Biographical Information

"Geoff Stray amassed a vast collection of data relating to the 2012 phenomenon - a study that started in 1982. Far from confining his research to the Maya, who provide the most prominent predictions for this date, he also studied the prophetic traditions of other cultures, including Tibetan, Chinese, Jewish, and tribal cultures from around the globe, discovering a convergence of expected era change. Around 1996, he started to compile the information into a booklet called Beyond 2012. In September 2000, he made it available on the internet via the website www.diagnosis2012.co.uk Since then, Diagnosis2012 became renowned as the most comprehensive database available on 2012, and gathered input and feedback from every corner of the globe. Geoff has given presentations on the topic across England and in countries as far afield as Scandinavia, USA and Peru. For the record, Geoff never claimed the world would end in 2012, but that it seemed to be the beginning point of an era of a new kind of consciousness for humanity.

"Geoff currently lives in Glastonbury, UK and has published five books - Beyond 2012: Catastrophe or Ecstasy, the first of these, was published in the UK in 2005, it was published in the Netherlands in 2008, and in the United States in 2009 (as Beyond 2012 - Catastrophe or Awakening). This book is an overview of visions, calendars, prophecies and theories about 2012, and has been called “The Encyclopedia of 2012”. The Mayan and other Ancient Calendars was published in 2007 in UK and USA, and more recently, in Japan, Korea and Slovenia. It shows the unique properties of Maya calendar systems as compared with other ancient calendar systems. 2012 in your Pocket is the third book - a compressed version of the most compelling material in ‘Beyond 2012’, plus a few extra items, and was published in the USA and UK in 2009, Sweden in 2011 and the Netherlands in 2012.. The fourth title is a limited edition work called Glastonbury Underground - a Mini-Guide to Rumour and Fact Concerning Avalon's Subterranean Passages. It was published privately in 2012. The fifth title is Mysteries of the Long Count - A Discussion of the 13-Baktun Era vesus the 20-Baktun Era. It will be privately published in 2013 and starts out to rectify a misconception about the Maya Long Count calendar, but ends up discovering a solution to some of the til-now-insoluble massive date inscriptions from Coba and Yaxchilan. Stray has contributed articles to anthologies such as the bestselling book, The Mystery of 2012: Predictions, Prophecies and Possibilities (published in Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Greek versions); also 2013! The Beginning is Here and Mysteries of the Ancient Past - A Graham Hancock Reader.

"Geoff has appeared in documentaries such as 2012: The Odyssey; Timewave 2013; 2012 - An Awakening; 2012 - Mayan Prophesy and The Shift of the Ages; 2012, The Beginning, and the forthcoming Time of the Sixth Sun. He has also appeared on Edge Media TV (Sky Channel 200) several times, and has been interviewed by Whitley Streiber for the Unknown Country show, and for Graham Hancock's website, and many other shows. Geoff has also written numerous articles for various magazines including Southern Circular, HERA, Salvia Divinorum magazine, Caduceus, New Dawn and the Hermes Journal. Geoff lives in a converted "milking parlour", and in his spare time, makes handmade footwear, rides a dirt bike, tinkers with classic bikes, and “plays the blues harmonica to passing sheep”. He also regularly drives the tour bus each year for the Megalithomania conference, held in Glastonbury, and drives a regular bus."[1]
